EPROM programmer

I've been following this topic with interest but hasn't take any action
to try things out yet.   One of the problem is that I can't seem to
find a EPROM programmer for decent price.   I found one that can
program 4 chips at a time for some $199.00.    I don't want to dish out
couple hundred bucks to play with this stuff.

What are you guys all using?
