Great! Nice Code! World Domination, and Fast!! :-)

It seems to work fine with my D-Link DFE530TX board.

No problem. Step right up to "Marty's Etherboot Slim Quick Chamber".
"this won't hurt a bit..." ;-)

Before: Working ok, but a tad overweight...

   text data bss dec hex filename
  14135     368   16128   30631    77a7 via-rhine.tmp
                          ^^^^^
After: Slim, and ready to party!

   text data bss dec hex filename
  14139     368    9888   24395    5f4b via-rhine.tmp
                          ^^^^^
Oh yes, the patch:

in via-rhine.c, go to line 412-413 and change:

#define TX_RING_SIZE 4
#define RX_RING_SIZE 4

to

#define TX_RING_SIZE 2
#define RX_RING_SIZE 2

that's it. (hey, what do you want for free? ;-)

Anyway, looks like Etherboot supports yet another card.

"Never give up!  Never surrender!"

Regards,

Marty
