Paolo Marini has contributed a via-rhine driver to Etherboot and I have put up a tarball at http://www.slug.org.au/etherboot/via-rhine.tar.gz It's not linked to the Etherboot home page. To install it, cd etherboot-4.4.0 and unpack via-rhine.tar.gz with tar zxf. It will create src/via-rhine.c, a symlink link to it from src-32, and update Makefile, config.c and pci.h. Please test this out so that I can put it in the next release.
