MS.DOS 6.22 AND LINUX (ERROR OPEN FILES > 50)

Please, Help me ! 
  
I am using Etherboot with an image MSDOS 6.22 and connecting road SAMBA 
for the drive CLIENT MICROSOFT, non i get to open more than 100 files 
in the same application, already try the max open files of the smb.conf 
and it didn't work, it will be that you he/she knows some command of the
SAMBA to increase the files opened by CLIENT MICROSOFT.  
  
Attention: In Windows 98 it works very well but if I go for the DOS 6.22
the system it doesn't consider the files = 200 of the config.sys.
