why do i get ... Kernel panic: VFS: unable to mount root fs on 01:00




Dear all,
I have created bootImage.nbi 

# mknbi-linux -x -d ram -i rom -r initrd.gz -k bzImage -o bootImage.nbi 

and done everything as describe by Bill Dooley in Netboot HOW-TO document 
for Linux  when i try to boot my diskless pc i get the following message

can you please tell me what i need to do now so that my diskless pc 
works!!!Is the problem because of kernel compiling..????
