RE: IBM RS/6000 Workstations?

Although I'm always interested in the capability of extending
technologies to other platforms, I must confess, this really isn't worth
your time. You can get an old Dell Pentium Pro workstation off of eBay
for less than $100 that is more powerful, and most importantly, much
more capable of running all of your software.

But, that's only my 2 cents. :)

Good Luck!

Subject: IBM RS/6000 Workstations?

Has anyone used old IBM "Workstations" as clients for a
Linux-based netboot system?

The units seem to be cheap:

and the specs look like they could work:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1281331483

Anybody have thoughts on the feasibility of using these or have
experience actually getting them to "play" with a Linux server
instead of an IBM RS/6000 server and AIX unix?

Thanks for any tips,

Troy Bradley
