Re: tftp kernel retrieval failure

I built & tagged a kernel, but I still haven't progressed far.

I recieve an Invalid vendor magic ID message, so here's some partially
gratuitous output;
any ideas?

Here is the output from my client machine:
--------------start client-----------------------

Boot from (N)etwork or from (L)ocal?N

DOS Net Boot Image Loader version 0.8.1 (mknbi-dos)
GPLed by G. Kuhlmann

-------------end client (frozen at this point)-----

Currently, these are the only two machines on the subnet.
(hazel-bootp/image server and tankgirl[real]-client)
Here is the tcpdump information from poweron to freeze:
--------------start tcpdump--------------------------

----------end tcpdump-----------------------------
so it appears that the image was indeed transferred.

and here's bootpd's output (since it mentions the vendor magic field):
