I use bootp-2.4.3-7 (installed from an RPM). It does support Extensions.
My bootptab file has:

...
    :sm=255.255.255.0:\
    :T130="eth0":\
    :hn:ht=1:
...

I think that the T130 is an RFC 1533 Vendor Extension? It certainly works.
