Chenthil,

Check the /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess file, my guess is that there is a line
that is commented out.

You need to have a line that shows:

*        #any host can get a login window

On Redhat 6.0, this line was NOT commented out, so it worked.
On Redhat 6.1, this line was commented out.

Just remove the leading '#', and any leading spaces, and it should work.
