Compile errors with netboot_0.8.1 and RH 6.1

Hello,
    I am new to the network boot scene, so my knowledge is minimal. I am
currently attempting to boot a number of X terminals form a linux
(RedHat 6.1) server. I have been following the Diskless-HOWTO. I have
chosen the netboot package (netboot 0.8.1) to generate the tagged kernel
image the must be placed on the boot floppy. Unfortunately I can not get
netboot installed on the server. I keep getting compile time errors with
make. I am using a recent version of GNU make utility (make-3.77-6) and
libc-6 (glibc-2.1.2-11), as required. The "configure" script completes
successfully as does "make clean". However when I run "make" I get the
errors (see below).
Any help or source to reference would be greatly appreciated.
