Problems loading kernel (linux)...

Hello!

I have quite a few Problems with booting a diskless
workstation, although BOOTP and TFTP seem to be
installed correctly I don't get it to work properly.

What already works:
The client sends a broadcast, requesting a BOOTP-Server
to provide him with the needed information, that is:
name, ip-address, tftp-server and bootfile.
Then via TFTP the bootimage is loaded but after that
the computer hangs!

The Kernelimage I use was modified using mknbi-linux
(size in bytes: 366592), the config of the TFTP is
as follows:
--- snip ---
global.prof:\
        :sm=255.255.255.0:\
        :ds=xxx.xx.x.999:\
        :gw=xxx.xx.x.888:\
        :hd=/tftpboot:\
        :bf=testkernel:\
        :bs=auto:

client:ha=0xyyyyyyyyyyyy:ip=client:tc=global.prof:
--- snap ---

What the client reports during bootup:
> BOOTP: (007) found xxx.xx.x.100
> Local IP: xxx.xx.x.101
> Transferring /tftpboot/testkernel (01-0718)
----> Computer hangs

So what's wrong?

Please help. Thanks in advance!

Jens
