BootProm and linux

Hi. I got 3com cards with eproms. 
I successfully managed to boot win95 downloading the
image file stored in a linux box.

I did a two disk set of linux disks that boot reading
the bootdisk howto and I'm able to boot linux from diskette.

I'm trying to make the eprom load the linux image file
so I could boot linux but I've spent a week with no success.

Please, can you give me any hint ?
