problems rebooting same machine

hi there

i built up a netbooting environment as follows:




BOX A               BOX B
10.10.11.100        10.10.11.106  A.B.C.D
  |                 |             |
  |                 |             |
  +-----------------+             +------------ connection to internet

A netboots from B. works fine. now when i press the reset button
on machine A i get stuck when A sends bootrequest packets to B.
using tcpdump i see that B doesn't seem to answer the packets.
i get:

10:17:25.709443 arp who-has 10.10.11.100 tell A.B.C.D
...

routing tables are ok.

any hint is highly appreciated.
