May be it's the same problem I had last week and reported upon. The
3C509B wants a 32k eprom, but sees only the first 16K. I also had the
idea nothing happened until I used dos debug that shows those 16k. I
then tried etherboot that has a standard promsize of 16k and that worked
fine.
