Finding modules dependencies

Hi,

I have some problems with a linux diskless client. All goes well except
for one line during the kernel init:

...
Finding modules dependencies
...

It stops here during few seconds (I see net leds flashing), then it says
'Out of memory [FAILED]' (sometimes with 'modprobe:' in front).
Then it continues normaly to the prompt. And when I want to do
something, it crash; I had to reset. (note: I just types 'cd /etc' and
'ls' before it frozzed abruptly). I wonder where I can find the script
that genarated the 'finding modules dep'. Where can I configure the boot
process and the halt process. Because if I want to 'reboot', it crashes
too...
On the server, he says:

...
dhcpd: node2.localdomain: temporary name server failure
...
kernel: fh_verify: run/atd.pid permission failure, acc=2, error=13
...

The etherboot docs says to turn off all the network service I don't need
and to remove the all the stuffs I don't need from /var. Can somebody
tell me what to remove exactly and how to do it, as I am new to linux.

I have redhat 6.1.
Thanks.

David
