error 101

Hi all
I am setting up a 14 diskless client computing room at our company.
I managed to compile and install everything and using YARD I created
small working root directories for the clients.
But when I try to mount another filesystem (in my case the /usr ) I get
a
stange situation: the error message "RPC:sendmsg error 101" pops up
for 4 times, then a "portmap time out" error is displayd, followed by 4
more
"RPC...101" messages. This takes some minutes.
After that the filesystem is mounted an working.
When I do not wait for all the error messages and
switch to another console and "kill" the running mount process the
error messages disappear earlier and the filesystem is still mounted an
working

I checked the mailing list from 18.02.1999 on and found some "error 101"

questions but
I found no helping answers. Is there anybody who can help me?

Thanks, Roland
