Is there any success report of boot FreeBSD or Solaris 8 (Intel) with
this procedure? The document only mentions Linux, DOS and Windows.
Is the client diskless or not?

With this procedure I could boot FreeBSD on a diskless client,
but I cannot find a way of boot Solaris 8 from network on a diskless
client now.
