One problem I found with the standard tftpd that comes with most Linux
distributions is that if tftpd is invoked too often, say because you have
lots of clients booting, inetd thinks there is a problem with tftpd and
disables the service for a few minutes. In such a case it may be better
to use a daemon that is not started from inetd. The one mentioned above
is such a daemon.
