3C503 netboot

I am having a hard time trying to get a 3C503 boot prom to work.  I know I
have the server set up correctly since I have sucessfully netbooted a 3C509
and a NE2000 network card.  Is there any trick to getting the card to
recognize the boot rom?  I have tried every address setting and still not
response from the network card.  If I use the floppy disk to boot with
etherboot, it works just fine.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.
