Thanks for the information.  Would it be difficult to preserve the
UDP/IP stack in memory even after DOS image has been loaded and
started?  Even after preservation of the stack, would there even
be some kind of application interface available to DOS programs
to access the stack services (maybe through software interrupt)?

PS.  Did any prior version(s) of netboot <0.8.1 by default preserved
     the network stack?
