Although I have never actually done this, it is theoretically possible
to write a configuration script, which does not contain any hardcoded
parameters. This is the preferable solution if you need to configure
several clients. Use BOOTP to retrieve the machine name and/or IP
address, then run "routed" to configure your routes. When mounting the
remote file system, make sure that the server uses the "transname"
kernel patch for providing different files to each client.
