[OFF-TOPIC] burning eeproms under linux ?

Hi !

 sorry for this slightly off-topic request but I guess eeproms are
 used by quite a few here, and so my request : 

 does anbody know a eprom burner that will run with linux ?

 if so I would need as exact infos as posible, type , where to get it etc.
