Is there some way, the Makefile could try to autodetect the presence
of broken versions of "objcopy"? Is there some trick with $(shell
objcopy -version ... ) that we could pull? If somebody could mail me
version numbers for working and for broken versions of objcopy, I
could try to come up with some code.
