This is very hard for me to trace down. It sounds like a possible bug
in my code, but I cannot really test this without seeing your
images. Ppmtoansi has always worked fine for me, but maybe I was just
very lucky. I cannot make any guarantees that I will have enough time
to look into it, but it would certainly help, if you could provide as
much information as possible (i.e. send a copy of you /etc/bootptab,
and of the smallest image that exhibits this problem (both in ppm and
in ansi format)).
