GtkICQ

GtkICQ is a Gtk based clone of Mirabilis' ICQ client. It supports GNOME, though GNOME is not required. GtkICQ currently has support for user lists, messaging and peer to peer chat. It uses much fewer resources and is much faster than the Java ICQ client released for Linux by Mirabilis.

Licq

Licq includes all the basic features of ICQ, like sending/receiving messages, contact list with pixmaps and user status, user info, add/edit users from within the gui, user history. It is written in C++ using the Qt widget set. While still in constant development it is stable enough to use as a replacement for JavaICQ.

micq

Matt's ICQ Clone is a publically available ICQ clone for the console developed under Linux. It is still under devlopment but updates are made every few days or so. They are hoping to get a Qt or GTK frontend developed as well as implementing the rest of the features of ICQ including chat. So far it can, however, send and receive messages from the ICQ network, list users that are offline and online including their online status, search for users by email address and it's able to lookup basic (name, UIN, eMail) information. It runs on the console in ANSI color and has support for Linux and Win32 but it should compile on most other Unix's as well.
