Can anyone compile the rboot.package on linux ?

I get the rboot.package from this site and it seems to do the job.
But there are some quirks to make it work on linux:

I had to remove the operator-group.attribute. Now I`m stuck in the
"stand"-Makefile which creates senseless paths.

Has anyone managed to get rboot compile on a linux system ?
(I`m using a Suse6.2 distribution)
