30kB/s? That doesn't sound serious, but it also sounds a little
unusual. If I were you, I'd try to investigate a little more. Get
a copy of ethereal off of http://www.freshmeat.net and log the
network traffic. It should be easy to see what's going on there.
Maybe, you just have some software that keeps polling files over
NFS? I know that enlightenment does that with some of its
configuration files, but that shouldn't account for 30kB/s
