Etherboot-4.0 released

Hi netbooters,

Etherboot-4.0 has been released. It's at

	http://www.slug.org.au/etherboot/

This release incorporates many major fixes and enhancements. A full list
can be found in doc/maint/LOG but a quick summary of the changes from 3.2:

+ Major overhaul of the documentation. (The README is Etherboot specific
only in one section and is a resource for netbooting Linux in general.)

+ DHCP support and xid matchng by Vlad Lungu.

+ 3c503 PIO mode and endian fixes by Jim Hague.

+ Better bin2intelhex by Jean Marc Lacroix.

+ William Arbaugh's patches to make eepro driver work properly.

+ Testing by Charlie Brady to confirm that the Lance driver works
with PCI.

+ Removed support for NFS_BOOT and linear images.

+ New drivers for NI6510, 3c507, NI5210, and Tiara.

+ Confirmed that the SMC8216 driver works.

+ Removed support for .com images as .rom images can be used from
floppy now.

+ Updated contrib/mkelksnbi for ELKS 0.0.68.

+ New contributed software: p910nd, a tiny printer daemon suitable for
diskless hosts.

+ Made ANSIESC work for Etherboot/16.

+ Fixed Makefile and Config.* so that it works with old binutils.

Thanks to all the people who contributed code or testing effort. Patches
to 4.0 will be put on the Web site as they appear.

Please take a look at http://www.slug.org.au/etherboot/nilo/ which is
a proposal for the successor project to Etherboot.

Have a good weekend.
